Today Dan Cederholm and Dan Benjamin announced that cork’d, (their free service for reviewing, sharing and discovering wine), has been acquired. A big congratulations to cork’d!

While the team here at sho’fr never met the cork’d guys, we constantly looked to the site as an inspiration of what we wanted to bring to our users. Yes, we are a long way from “cork’d status”, but we remember their launch like it was yesterday. Almost a year ago, cork’d went live as we were just starting to develop the core of what would become sho’fr. cork’d easily earned a solid spot on our ‘inspiration list’, and really pushed us to get our project rolling.

So while we say congrats to cork’d, we also say thank you. Without your dedication to a niche market mixed with stunning visuals and a fantastic interface, we may not be here.
